How to apply for World Class Certification™
Attainment of World Class Certification™ is a process
involving several simple steps outlined below.
Step One. To begin, please click here to view the
fees, policies and other World Class Certification™
program information. After you have reviewed the
entire program, the first step is to request the
inspection form(s) for your restaurant or for your
hotel/resort, or both. With your request you will
be required to provide a payment equivalent to
25% of the fee.
Step Two. When you receive the inspection
form(s) from us, evaluate your own operation first.
This, "Self Inspection" exercise is to insure that you are prepared for the on-site,
anonymous evaluator. View a sample of the inspection form(s) HERE
Step Three. When you are ready to schedule the anonymous on-site inspection,
complete the form requesting your inspection. A payment equivalent to 50% of the
fee is now due. As soon as we receive your request, your establishment will be
scheduled for inspection during a period of time convenient for you. Your
restaurant will be inspected twice during this one-week time window. If we are
inspecting your lodging facilities, your evaluator will be staying at the property
during this one week period. The intent is for the anonymous evaluator to
experience every aspect of your establishment in the same way that a guest would.
The evaluator will be using the exact same inspection form(s) that will be sent to
you. There are no surprises.
Step Four. Upon completion of the on-site inspection(s), the evaluator will
immediately contact you to review the inspection results.
Step Five. Upon passing the inspection, and during your meeting with the
evaluator, you will be presented with the framed, World Class Certification™
certificate, and up to six World Class Certified™ window logos. Should you wish to
engage the media during this time, we will coordinate this event together, and we
greatly encourage you to consider this unique marketing opportunity! You will also
receive a draft version of the worldwide media release. We will then order your
custom made, World Class Certified™ Trophy Award and the beautiful black, gold
lettered plaque. You will receive these in approximately 90 days.
World Class Certification™ is available for the following types of business:
Historical properties, resorts, restaurants, hotels, exotic & unique destinations
worldwide. Your business, regardless of location, will be considered for World Class
Certification™ provided that you offer to the general public, comprehensive lodging
and/or food-service facilities that are high-end, luxurious, and of top quality. We
regret that private, member-based facilities can not be considered. Note: It is not
necessary for you to have any previous ratings from Gault Millau®, Zagat®, Mobil
Travel Guide®, American Automobile Association® (AAA), Michelin Travel Guide®,
or any other rating agency in order to apply.
Fees and Information
World Class Certification Services™ is a certification firm. We do not print or sell
guidebooks, travel or dining guides, nor do we accept advertising or memberships.
Our sole unbiased function is to award World Class Certification™ to the most
deserving top-tier businesses worldwide. The fee scale is based on the type of
business and the business volume. You may apply for singular World Class
Certification™ of a restaurant or a hotel/resort, or for dual Certification™ of a
hotel/resort and restaurant. For details, please review the information download.
The fee covers everything including: Evaluation costs, advertising costs for the
worldwide media announcement of your outstanding achievement, the World Class
Certified™ Award, along with a black, gold lettered plaque, and all evaluator travel
expenses including transportation, meals, hotels (up to $750/per night - see fee
schedule for specific details) and other incidental expenses. We accept all credit
cards, bank wire, or company check. Your World Class Certified™ status is valid for
two years, at which time, renewal is available at a highly discounted fee. We will
contact you when it's time to renew your World Class Certification™.
